Groves of teak and towering eucalyptus are an integral part of the forest. It has trees like maruthi, karimaruthi, rosewood, venteak, vengal, chadachi, mazhukanjiram and bamboo. The Veteria indica, Lanceolata, Lagerstroemia, Termianalia paniculata are also seen in the green acres of the forest.
The forest is the home of elephant, tiger, Panther, jungle cat, civet cat, monkeys, wild dog, bison, deer, peacock, babblers, cuckoos, owl, wood pecker and jungle fowl bear and others. There are reptiles such as the monitor lizards and snakes. The tiger population in this forest is also quite adequate. Elephants and tigers can be seen here.
