      Royal Village Resort Kochi

The tranquil waters of the Beautiful backwaters and the palm fringed emerald canals are fast gaining momentum as one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Kochi earlier known as Cochin is an important port in Kerala and is used as most tourists as the pivot to their itinerary to Kerala. They mostly arrive at Kochi first and then move on to their onward destination from Kochi. However, Kochi itself deserves quite an attention as a tourist destination by its own right- its long sandy beaches lined with Chinese fishing nets, numerous churches, synagogues and other leftovers of a colonial past. Likewise, the accommodations available at Kochi are numerous. So is the number of heritage hotels in Kochi. Most of these heritage hotels belonged to illustrious Portugese and Dutch families who had landed in Kochi and stayed back. But given the high maintenance cost and declining fortunes of most of these, families, more often than not they turned these mansions into hotels with the hope of rebuilding their hopes from the ruins left by their forefathers. Located on the outskirts of Kochi, the Royal Village is built around a 100 year old family house called 'Tharavadu'. This heritage resort offers the unique experience of staying at a vintage ambience away from the bustle of the city. Lush green lawns dotted with palms, lush mango and hackfruit trees, thatched roof cottages and pebbled walks are all your company at Royal Village.

      Location:

Royal Village Kochi is located on a verdant island 16 Km from Kochi airport and 8 Km from Ernakulam town railway station. The resort is accessible both by road and by inland waterway

      Accommodation facilities in Royal Village:

The thatched roof cottages at the resort are built on typically Keralian tibal lines and offer contemporary deluxe facilities. A unique open air walled garden bath comes with every cottage to give you a unique bathing experience in a traditional ambience
